- Methods for large-scale eigenvalue problems, systems of equations, matrix equations and matrix functions
- Preconditioning
- Low-rank approaches for matrix- and tensor-based methods
- Resolution methods for systems of multivariate polynomial equations
- Mathematical system and control theory (in particular model order reduction and linear-quadratic control of high-dimensional systems)
- Numerical aspects of optimisation, digital signal processing, data science and machine learning
