The Mathematics and Natural Sciences Centre (MNZ) was established on 1 April 2019 - a sub-project of the HTWK2025 university development plan.
The HTWK2025 HEP was adopted at the beginning of 2017 - and with it the establishment of a Mathematics and Natural Sciences Centre (MNZ) as the university's central scientific institution for cross-faculty cooperation in teaching and research. The MNZ regulations formulate the goal: "The MNZ is intended to ensure excellent basic academic training in the mathematical and scientific subjects of mathematics, physics and chemistry - tailored to the needs of the individual degree programmes - and to intensify research, especially in cooperation with the faculties."
